Introduction
Deadeye is a versatile and very mobile ranged DPS Class, just like His female counterpart - the Gunslinger. He uses three weapons: a Pistol, a Shotgun, and a Rifle. Unlike Gunslinger who prefers a Rifle, Deadeye feels better with a Shotgun in His hands. There are two main Deadeye PvE Raiding Builds, both based on one of His Class Engravings: Pistoleer and Enhanced Weapon. The featured build is based on the latter.
Enhanced Weapon Deadeye gains a +20% (to +30% at Level 3 Enhanced Weapon) Crit Rate buff when He changes His stance. This, combined with other Crit Buffs (Weakness Exposure, and extra Crit from Back Attacks) results in Him having a whooping base Crit Rate of 40-50% with His Shotgun. Because of this, He deals a lot of Damage very consistently. He uses a total of 16 Skills, so there's no real downtime - you always have something to do when playing the Enhanced Weapon Deadeye. To balance things out, Shotguns have a very limited Range and their Skills often lock you in quite long animations (which can be quite dangerous as Deadeye is rather squishy).

Skills
SHOTGUN SKILLS | |
SHOTGUN DOMINATOR |
Deadeye fires two shotguns at His enemies, dealing high amounts of damage, followed by a finishing shot that knocks enemies down. Nearby enemies receive double the Damage. This Holding Skill can hit extremely hard if you hit the Perfect Zone with it. To maximize its Damage output, try to hit the Perfect Zone near the end of its animation.

SHOTGUN RAPID FIRE |
Deadeye fires her shotgun three times, inflicting three damaging hits on her enemies. This relatively simple close-range Skill allows you to unleash a hailstorm of buckshot on your opponents. It's the most effective when used from behind the enemy and deals increased Damage to Push-Immune foes. Moreover, it offers solid Stagger Damage.

|
SIGN OF APOCALYPSE |
Deadeye fires His Shotgun two times, dealing high amounts of damage twice. Nearby enemies receive double the Damage. This simple close-range Shotgun Skill deals 2x Damage to enemies in the melee range. With the recommended Engravings, it will hit the Boss like a truck if you use it while standing right behind it.

|
LAST REQUEST |
Deadeye fires a powerful explosive bullet, dealing high amounts of damage and launching enemies into the air. This skill deals a lot of Stagger Damage and can be used as a Counter, but its high damage output and utility are just too good to save it for encounter-specific uses. It will serve you as a short-range gap closer, thanks to the Execution Engraving. Use it to improve your positioning before unleashing your other Shotgun Skills.

HANDGUN SKILLS | |
QUICK SHOT |
Deadeye fires 2 times, dealing moderate amounts of damage. This skill can be used up to two times in a row. This is a handy ability that deals very solid damage and can be used to exploit the enemy's Weak Spots when you take the Final Light Tripod. It is also one of your most powerful Handgun Skills. To utilize its full potential, you'll have to position yourself behind the enemy, however.

CRUEL TRACKER |
Deadeye fires his handgun 6 times, inflicting moderate amounts of damage, followed by one final shot that deals high amounts of damage. This fun-to-use multi-hit skill is one of your most powerful offensive Handgun abilities. With the Rapid Fire Enhancement Tripod, Cruel Tracker can pepper the target with multiple hits.

|
DEXTROUS SHOT |
Deadeye moves 6 meters as she glides and fires her handgun 4 times to inflict moderate amounts of Damage to nearby enemies. This Skill can be used up to two times in a row. This is primarily a mobility skill that can be used to dodge telegraphed attacks and to reposition. Thanks to the fact that you can use it two times in a row, it can be utilized to cover a lot of ground in a short time.

Level 7

|
ENFORCE EXECUTION |
Deadeye dashes 5 meters forward, delivers an upper kick, and performs a head attack to deal moderate amounts of damage. Then, he rapid fires his handgun 8 times, ridding the enemy with holes. The handgun barrage keeps the pushed enemies airborne. Can Counterattack with the Upper Kick Attack. This is your second mobility tool with a utility similar to the Dextrous Shot, but on a bit longer cooldown. It can also serve as your Counter Attack when needed.

Level 7

|
SOMERSAULT SHOT |
Deadeye somersaults to move 10 meters forward while firing his handgun to inflict minor amounts of damage. This is a solid mobility skill - use it as such.
|
Level 4
|
|
SPIRAL TRACKER |
Deadeye throws a spinning handgun at the target location within 10 meters from her, dealing moderate damage over 15 hits. This is another source of the Weakness Exposure debuff. When applied with this skill, the debuff lasts for 6 seconds. It is also used as a source of Conviction buff from the Rune. |
Level 4
|
|
AT02 GRENADE |
Deadeye throws a grenade at the target location within 10 meters of him, dealing moderate amounts of damage. This neat AoE ability is your team synergy skill; Thanks to the Weakness Exposure Tripod, it can apply a Crit Resistance debuff, to an enemy, that can be exploited by the whole party. Thanks to the low Cooldown, you can maintain this debuff for the whole duration of a fight. |

EQUILIBRIUM |
Deadeye fires his handgun across a broad area, dealing moderate amounts of damage to all enemies who find themselves in range. This skill serves as the trigger for the Judgement Rune.

TRIPLE EXPLOSION |
Deadeye fires an explosive bullet at the target location, dealing high amounts of damage. This Skill can be used up to three times in a row. This Skill has three charges, so you can weave it between your other Rifle Skills for some additional Damage. |

AWAKENING | |
BURSTING FLARE |
Deadeye summons a large-caliber rifle and shoots three times. The first two bullets inflict Damage to directly hit enemies and burst along the trajectory to pull enemies for another damaging hit. The last shot deals high amounts of damage to enemies hit directly and affected by its final burst. The final burst also knocks enemies away. This is a very powerful multi-hit Awakening Skill that deals tremendous Stagger Damage. It can single-handedly turn an encounter in your favor if used at the right time.

Rotations/Skill Usage
Your Rotation/Priority List looks as follows (prioritize the Skills/Steps that are higher on the List - if something refreshes or the situation demands it (upcoming Mobility Phase, for example), use it before continuing down the list):
|
Recommended Engravings
This is what defines this build. Since Levels 2 and 3 only provide minor upgrades, having this at Level 1 is perfectly fine (other Combat Engravings will give you more benefits when leveled up). |
This Engraving is extremely powerful, but it will punish you if you make a mistake. Deadeye has no defense to speak of and relies on His mobility to avoid taking damage - if you're confident in your ability to dodge attacks, Grudge will serve you well. Pick it up only if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. If you're still learning mechanics, you'll be better off skipping it for the first two Tiers (it's only worth using at Level 3 and only becomes necessary for Tier 3 content, anyway). |
Most of the attacks you will be using have the Back Attack modifier. Because of this, Ambush Master Engraving is an excellent choice. Also, it will encourage you to pay more attention to your positioning as missing Back Attacks while you have it active will make you lose even more potential DPS than otherwise. |
Thanks to the total number of Skills you have access to with this build, Adrenaline is a perfect choice - you should be able to stack it up with ease. It will provide you with extra Crit Rate and Attack Power, both of which are extremely valuable to you. Having this at Level 2 is generally enough. |
The more Crit Rate you have, the more powerful this Engraving becomes. As an Enhanced Weapon Deadeye, you have an incredibly high base Crit Rate and you want to stack even more of it eventually. Because of this, Keen Blunt Weapon is a natural fit. |
This Engraving can significantly boost your offensive power, but the tradeoff is painful. Pick it up only if you know encounter mechanics very well, as its downside will hurt too much otherwise; In other words: if you lack encounter experience, skip it. Also, using this at Levels 1 and 2 is not worth the risks involved (so, use it at Level 3 or don't use it at all). |
Enhanced Weapon Deadeye is very mobile, but having even more mobility can't hurt - especially if the mobility boost brings the Attack Speed boost along with it. Because of this, picking Spirit Absorption is an excellent choice. With it at Level 3, you'll move significantly quicker and your skill animations will become much faster. In other words, it will make your character much less annoying to play during dynamic encounters. |
Raid Captain paired with Level 3 Spirit Absorption and a total Movement Speed of 140% will give you ~+18% increased damage. If you run Swiftness as your secondary stat and have Spirit Absorption, it's definitely a viable option. |
