Guide notes |

The Saboteur is among the most popular character classes whenever players embark on a new League. Mines in general offer fantastic DPS with good clear speed (obviously that depends on the actual Skill used) and solid defenses without any gear requirements. At the same time, Miner/Saboteur offers a smooth transition into the end-game, with a wide variety of both Mines, and Traps, which make this character all content viable, and allow you to kill any Boss in the game with proper investments in gear. This build revolves around the newly added Blazing Salvo Spell, which fires several projectiles that explode on Impact dealing high Fire Damage in a small radius. Thanks to clever positioning, and understanding the Skill's mechanic, you can easily have tens of projectiles damaging the same enemy, which gives you a very potent single-target damage.
The following Guide showcases a standard Character based on Life, and easy to obtain Uniques and random Rares without any expensive and/or Influence affixes. This makes our Blazing Salvo Saboteur a fantastic Starter build. You will be able to farm most Map Tiers without any expensive gear while being quite tanky thanks to Kaom's Heart, high Dodge, and Saboteur's insane Life Regeneration.

This is a regular Miner build. You are going to run around Maps spamming your Mines and Detonate Mine Spell, obliterating all enemies on your path. You can also cast Flame Wall near Bosses so that Blazing Salvo's projectiles receive additional damage. It's recommended to use the Profane Proxy Ring, which will help you apply a Curse via Skitterbots. You will only have to use 3 Spells excluding Flame Dash for mobility, making this a very simply and smooth build. You should also aim at Detonating all your Mines quickly, or ones that you leave behind will reserve too much of your Mana causing issues when progressing through Maps.

PROS |
|
CONS |
|
Leveling with a Miner Saboteur is very easy. Mines deal insane damage regardless of what Items you currently have. The majority of Mine Spells will work great for leveling, but we recommend using Blazing Salvo as soon as it's accessible for your character. All you should worry about is providing your character with enough Life, Mana, and Mana Regeneration. Try finding Items with added Spell Damage to Skills, which will greatly boost your defenses.
Suggested leveling Gem setups:
Stormblast Mine | |
Stormblast Mine - you can use any other Mine Spell you want, though Stormblast happens to be available from level 1 and offers decent AoE. Replace it with Blazing Salvo at level 12 when you can equip it | |
